We are pleased to announced the rods for the Honda D
series motors are now available. Here are a few words from Larry:
"The reasons for redesigning the D Series rods were few,
but we simply felt that a few changes could be made that would place these rods in a class
all their own in both quality and price.
The reduced rod dimensions permit use in more applications than
previously with less massaging necessary to make adequate clearances. While slimming down
the rod, the opportunity was available to make it a superior component (structurally) to
any other rod on the market, regardless of pricing.
We elected to take advantage this re-design and the new and
improved product is here and ready for use.
Our engineering team has taken data from this revised program and
made appropriate changes to our other Honda series rods, so we should be delivering on a
more timely basis in the future.
We appreciate the patience of our customers and I believe that
our changes will be appreciated by everyone in the marketplace."
Revisions in the D rods explained: (A) The beam width of the rods has been reduced in width to reduce
reciprocating mass slightly. (B) The flank has also been reduced in radius to permit more
material to remain at the lower portion of the cylinder bores. (C) The overall span width
of the big end has been slightly reduced to allow the rod to be used in special small bore
applications.

Close up of Crower vs. ENDYN/Eagle: notice
the big ARP 2000 series rod bolts! Also notice the thin bushing we use on the small
end which allows for increased integrity.

Two quality rods:
While both can take significantly more abuse than stock, we hope you see the extra length
we went to ensure that we are making the finest quality connecting rod for the mass.
