Here are a couple of snaps from mid 1973 at the original Endyn location (the one I lived in.) This was our first "on our own" turbo engine for competition. It's the first Indy Ford that was modified in such a way.

We de-stroked the engine to 162 cid, fabricated the entire exhaust system, and also adapted it to this chassis which was originally built for an Offy. This job opened the door for many future turbo jobs for USAC Indy racing, especially with Fords.

Note the tips of the boost manifolds! It didn't do anything for the aero, but the team owners thought it made the car look fast! And Yes, I did drive the crap out of it around the long streets in the complex and at Texas World too.

As the header configuration is critical to engine performance, we used to make the 22" primary headers for our "customers".  The bottom line is that the header is so important that we provide them, just like on blown Hondas.  Notice primary tubes travel straight out of the cylinder heads..
